Parul P. Desai

Parul currently serves as NTIA’s Chief of Staff. Parul first joined NTIA in June 2022 as the Director of the Office of Congressional Affairs.

Parul brings nearly 20 years of telecommunications and technology policy experience to NTIA. Prior to joining NTIA, Parul was with the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Communications and Technology and spent nearly a decade in various roles with the Federal Communications Commission. Parul began her career in the tech and telecom field as an attorney and advocate with two non-profit organizations - Consumer Reports and Media Access Project – where she led the organizations’ strategy, policies, and advocacy efforts on various issues including advancing affordable and open access to broadband Internet service, advancing a competitive and affordable mobile/wireless market, and promoting consumer protections in broadband and wireless markets.

Parul is a graduate of Rutgers University and New York Law School.
