Minority Television Project Inc., licensee of public television station, KMTP, Channel 32, San Francisco, California, whose mission is to address the needs of under-served audiences, and New Tang Dynasty Television Inc. of Palo Alto, California, distributors of Mandarin language programming on digital broadcast channels, request the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to extend the time until October 10, 2006, by which to file comments in the captioned proceeding. The requestors maintain that the outcomes of the issues presented may have particular impact upon multicultural and multi-lingual audiences. Information needed to asses the impact of the proposed rules is expected to be received from faculty and staff of Stanford University who have just returned from Summer recess. Thus, favorable consideration of this request would be appropriate.
