WASHINGTON – The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) on Wednesday began seeking comment on identifying airwaves for more intensive use and innovative new uses by both the private sector and federal agencies.

His decades of leadership at the Department of Defense, including overseeing DoD's implementation of FirstNet across its 150,000 first responders, make him perfectly suited for the role.  

WASHINGTON – Seven contestants have been selected to participate in a $7 million research competition to promote more secure and interoperable wireless network equipment, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) announced today.
