Statement of Lawrence E. Strickling, Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information and NTIA Administrator, on the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) report, “Department of Commerce - Property Implications of Proposed Transition of U.S. Government Oversight of Key Internet Technical Functions

“We thank the GAO for its thorough analysis of the property implications of the IANA transition. We are pleased that GAO concluded that the transition does not involve a transfer of U.S. government property requiring Congressional approval.”
