Today, President Biden announced that he has designated Jessica Rosenworcel as Chairwoman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). In response, Acting Assistant Secretary of Communications and Information Evelyn Remaley issued the following statement:

"On behalf of NTIA, I want to congratulate Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel on her historic designation as the first woman to head the FCC. We are grateful for Jessica's leadership and we're looking forward to continuing our close relationship with the FCC on vital issues such as closing the digital divide and enabling the next generation of advanced communications.”
