NTIA Issues Draft Request for Proposals for Administration of .us Top Level Domain

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has issued a draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for the administration of .usthe country code Top Level Domain for the United States (usTLD).

NTIA is responsible for the usTLD contract, which sets requirements for .us, the online home for American businesses, individuals, and geographical localities. In January 2025, NTIA issued a Market Research Request for Information to help inform a modernization of the contract.

The public is invited to review and provide comments, questions, or feedback on the draft solicitation’s scope and the RFP instructions by 2:00PM ET on January 8, 2026, following the instructions indicated in the draft solicitation.

All questions and responses will be posted alongside the final solicitation and RFP on SAM.gov in January 2026.
