Assistant Secretary Arielle Roth Issues Statement on the “6G Security and Resilience Principles” from the Global Coalition on Telecommunications

The following statement can be attributed to Arielle Roth, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information and NTIA Administrator:

“The Global Coalition on Telecommunications' (GCOT) '6G Security and Resilience Principles' establishes a strong foundationand a clear statement of shared valuesfor the reliability and security of next-generation networks. I am proud of NTIA's contributions to this important work and of our close collaboration with our GCOT partners.

“As 6G development accelerates, now is the time to translate these commitments into actionby aligning standards and spectrum strategy, strengthening trusted supply chains, and ensuring security and resilience are built into networks from the start. We must translate principles into policy, and policy into results.

“We offer our congratulations to Finland and Sweden on their decision to join GCOT. Their membership strengthens this coalition at a pivotal moment. With more like-minded partners at the table, we are better positioned not just to articulate shared principles, but to implement themand to ensure that the future of global connectivity reflects our collective commitment to security, resilience, and 6G leadership.”
