TBCP Award
The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) received $17.2 million for a dual broadband use and adoption and planning, engineering, feasibility, and sustainability studies project. This project will develop programs and resources to address technology gaps and build capacity to use broadband services. Additionally, once complete, DHHL will have materials and information to use in a future broadband infrastructure deployment project.

Events
The DHHL held monthly coordination meetings with Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program (TBCP) and other the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) business units to address barriers and coordinate progress on their current use and adoption and planning project as well as plan for the second TBCP Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).
TBCP Leadership and staff travelled to the Hawaiian Islands to meet with the DHHL to provide in-person technical assistance with respect to the second TBCP NOFO.
DHHL’s TBCP Award will provide direct benefits to Native Hawaiians that reside across the Hawaiian Islands.
