TBCP Award
The Pinoleville Pomo Nation, California, received approximately $500,000 for its use and adoption project. In 2023, Pinoleville Pomo Nation accomplished all objectives and closed out their award. Accomplishments include, but are not limited to, delivering workshops to increase basic broadband knowledge and digital skills in the Tribal community, and training Tribal interns, who will offer digital skills training to Tribal elders and disabled individuals.
The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians (the Tribe) received $2.7 million for an infrastructure project. Once complete, the project will connect over 45 unserved Tribal homes and community anchor institutions with high-speed Internet. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) issued an Environmental Categorical Exclusion for the entire project and the Tribe is preparing for construction activities.
