TBCP Awards
The Delaware Nation, as a part of their adoption and use project, distributed more than 250 computer devices to Tribal citizens for them to engage in remote education, workforce opportunities, and telehealth appointments. Additionally, the Delaware Nation distributed 700 Bluetooth-enabled health device kits for Tribal citizens to take advantage of telehealth opportunities. Finally, the Delaware Nation provided Internet subsidies to more than 60 Tribal homes to assist with the high cost of Internet service in the respective area.
The Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas began its environmental review work for its $2.6 million broadband infrastructure deployment project. When complete, the project will directly connect more than 350 unserved Tribal households via fiber to the premises.

Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program (TBCP) staff assisted in the coordination of numerous Tribal consultations between the states of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas, and the Tribal governments that share their continuous borders to ensure Tribal priorities are heard by each state’s broadband office.
