WASHINGTON – The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announced today it has awarded two additional grants as part of the Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program. These grants, totaling nearly $1 million, are being awarded to the Yavapai-Apache Nation in Arizona and the Lac Courte Oreilles (LCO) Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians in Wisconsin.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announced today that it has received more than 200 applications for the Connecting Minority Communities Pilot Program, resulting in more than $833 million in funding requests for the purchase of broadband internet service, equipment, or devices, among other project goals.
NTIA Publishes Additional Proposed Service Areas for Broadband Infrastructure Program, Invites Service Providers to Submit Information
WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) published proposed service areas for two applications undergoing review for funding through the NTIA Broadband Infrastructure Program. The proposed service areas for these two applications were provided by the applicants before the program’s 90-day application window closed on August 17, 2021, but were omitted in error from NTIA’s first announcement on October 4, 2021.
