State of Mississippi's Application for NTIA Grant Funding

Project Purpose/Type:

Purpose/Type The State of Mississippi's Application for NTIA Grant Funding project is a last mile and middle mile broadband deployment across the state of Mississippi consisting of twelve unique projects that are designed to bring qualified broadband to a total of 8,218 unserved households across ten counties. This application was submitted by the Mississippi Public Utilities Staff (MPUS) and later transferred to Broadband Expansion and Accessibility of Mississippi (BEAM) who has entered into an eligible covered partnership with six different broadband providers to accomplish the project. The broadband providers in the covered partnership are (1) Bay Springs Telephone, (2) Bruce Telephone, (3) C Spire, (4) CableSouth Media 3 dba SwyftConnect, (5) Franklin Telephone, and (6) Uplink LLC.
