The Broadband Use and Adoption project activities include:

Connect 90% of the Reservation to newly established Wi-Fi towers.
Purchase 75 computers and 169 Chromebooks for Tribal households/students with the greatest needs.
Subsidize broadband service costs for 150 homes for 1 year.

The Planning, Engineering, Feasibility, and Sustainability Studies activities include:

This project intends to provide immediate access to broadband services for all Tribal households, increasing capacity and broadband adoption activities. Additionally, the engineering plan will develop options for the Tribe to build network redundancy through future fiber optic lines.

The beneficiaries of this project are approximately 1,700 Duck Valley Indian Reservation residents in addition to the Owyhee Combined Schools, serving 348 children ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
