Extension of Comment Period - Multistakeholder Process
NTIA announces that the closing deadline for submitting comments responsive to the March 5, 2012 request for public comments on the multistakeholder process to develop consumer data privacy codes of conduct has been extended until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on April 2, 2012.

Notice – Extension of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) Functions Contract
The Commerce Department's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) reached an agreement with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to continue performing the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) functions until September 30, 2012. The IANA functions are the key technical functions supporting the Internet Domain Name System.

NTIA's FY 2013 Budget as Presented to Congress
The NTIA FY 2013 budget request for Salaries and Expenses is $46.9 million, an increase of $1.3 million from the enacted FY 2012 Budget. The slight increase will provide ongoing support to NTIA’s largest grant program, enhance efforts to support economic growth by continuing work to identify additional spectrum for commercial use, and fund efforts to address emerging Internet policy issues.
Multistakeholder Process to Develop Consumer Data Privacy Codes of Conduct
NTIA is requesting comment on substantive consumer data privacy issues that warrant the development of legally enforceable codes of conduct, as well as procedures to foster the development of these codes. NTIA invites public comment on these issues from all stakeholders with an interest in consumer data privacy, including the commercial, academic and civil society sectors, and from federal and state enforcement agencies. Notice of deletion of a Privacy Act System of Records
The Department of Commerce publishes this notice to announce the deletion of a Privacy Act System of Records entitled, COMMERCE/NTIA–1 ‘‘Applications Related to Coupons for Digital-to-Analog Converter Boxes.’’ The Digital-to-Analog Converter Box Program has been terminated and this system of records will be deleted to comply with the applicable Disposition Authority. This system of records will be deleted on February 8, 2012.
Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee Meeting
The Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee will meet March 1, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. The meeting will be held at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), Room 130, 366 Galvez Street, Stanford, CA 04305. The Committee will deliberate on the findings and recommendations from its four subcommittees (Search for 500 MHz, Spectrum Sharing, Spectrum Management Improvements, and Unlicensed), and identify future requirements for assessments.
