As the manager of all federal spectrum use, NTIA is doing important work to ensure that we are maximizing our country’s spectrum resources to serve the nation’s communications priorities. We are committed to developing and implementing novel spectrum management approaches, and are exploring ways to put underutilized federal and non-federal spectrum to use while protecting critical federal missions.

NTIA Asks ICANN to Investigate GoDaddy Masking WHOIS Information, Review Accredited Registrar Issues
Today, NTIA Administrator David Redl sent a letter to ICANN Board of Directors Chair Cherine Chalaby requesting an investigation into GoDaddy’s throttling of Port 43 access and masking of WHOIS information.
