NTIA, through the BroadbandUSA program, in conjunction with Next Century Cities will hold a one-day regional broadband summit, “Digital Northwest,” to share information to help communities build their broadband capacity and utilization.

The Digital Northwest Broadband Summit will be held on March 21, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time. The meeting will be held at the Bell Harbor Conference Center, 2211 Alaskan Way, Pier 66, Seattle, WA 98121.

The Department of Commerce, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing information collections, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.

Written comments must be submitted on or before April 18, 2016. Comments submitted in response to this notice will be summarized and/or included in the request for OMB approval of this information collection; they will also become a matter of public record.

NTIA will convene a meeting of a multistakeholder process concerning privacy, transparency, and accountability issues regarding commercial and private use of unmanned aircraft systems on February 24, 2016. The meeting will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Eastern Time in the Boardroom at the American Institute of Architects, 1735 New York Avenue NW., Washington, DC 20006.

NTIA amends its regulations with respect to the duties of the Technical Panel to include the new responsibility for review and approval of plans submitted by federal entities that request funding from the Spectrum Relocation Fund for the purposes set forth in Section 1005(a)(2) of the Spectrum Pipeline Act of 2015. The final rule becomes effective on January 21, 2016.

NTIA announces that the closing deadline for the submission of nominations for the Digital Economy Board of Advisors is extended to midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST) on January 12, 2016.

The Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information announces the establishment of the Digital Economy Board of Advisors on behalf of the Secretary of Commerce. The Board will advise and provide recommendations to the Secretary, through the Assistant Secretary, on a broad range of issues concerning the digital economy and Internet policy.
