Through this Notice, NTIA is reopening an application window for nominations to the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (CSMAC).  On March 17, 2021, NTIA published a Notice seeking nominations to the CSMAC with a deadline of April 16, 2021, for submissions.  In reopening this application window, NTIA seeks to expand the pool of applicants and best ensure the composition of the committee reflects balanced points of view.

NTIA and the Department of Defense (DoD) have worked closely with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as it implements the rules governing Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) in the 3550-3700 MHz band in the above-referenced proceedings. The collaborative approach taken by government and industry to share the 3.5 GHz band has enabled commercial access to this primary mid-band spectrum for 5G deployments. This letter is to notify you of the required protection criteria for American Samoa.

As the United States prepares for the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-2021) scheduled for November 8-19, 2021, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration is working closely with the U.S.

On March 19, 2021, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) published a Notice in the Federal Register announcing a webinar series in connection with the three new broadband grant programs authorized and funded by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.  This Notice announces changes to the dates on which the webinars will be held.

NTIA will convene a virtual meeting of a multistakeholder process on promoting software component transparency on April 29, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Eastern Time.

The meeting will be held virtually, with online slide share and dial-in information to be posted at https://www.ntia.gov/ SoftwareTransparency.

On March 4, 2021, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) published a notice seeking expressions of interest in an appointment to the Board of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority). The notice established a deadline of April 5, 2021, for the transmittal of expressions of interest. This notice extends the period for submission of expressions of interest until April 15, 2021.

The next meeting of the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (Committee) will be held April 8, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
