The next meeting of the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee will be held on February 18, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. The meeting will be held at the Raytheon Company, 1100 Wilson Boulevard, 20th Floor, Rosslyn, VA 22209–2249. CSMAC provides advice to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information on spectrum management policy matters. Please see the attachment below for further information.

Notice of Upcoming Meetings of the Facial Recognition Technology Multistakeholder Process
NTIA will convene meetings of a privacy multistakeholder process concerning the commercial use of facial recognition technology on November 6, 2014, and December 15, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time. The meetings will be held in the Boardroom at the American Institute of Architects, 1735 New York Avenue NW., Washington, DC 20006. The meetings are continuations of a series of NTIA-convened multistakeholder discussions concerning facial recognition technology.
Extension of Comment Period for Telecommunications Assessment of the Arctic Region
On October 3, 2014, NTIA published a Notice of Inquiry (NOI) to seek public comment on the current and potential availability of communications services in the Arctic region as called for by the Implementation Plan for the National Strategy for the Arctic Region. The NOI requests public comments no later than November 3, 2014.

FirstNet Proposed Interpretations of Parts of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012
FirstNet requests public comment on certain proposed interpretations of its enabling legislation that will inform, among other things, forthcoming requests for proposals, interpretive rules, and network policies. With the benefit of the comments received from this Notice, FirstNet may proceed to implement these or other interpretations with or without further administrative procedure. Submit comments on or before October 24, 2014.
Joint Notice: Coordination Procedures in the 1695–1710 MHz and 1755–1780 MHz Bands
The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) and NTIA issue this joint public notice to provide information about Federal/non-Federal coordination in the AWS–3 bands in which Federal incumbents have spectrum assignments. We jointly refine certain AWS–3 Protection Zones, reducing them from nationwide scope to more specific geographic areas.
