NTIA issues this Notice on behalf of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) as part of the annual process to seek expressions of interest from individuals who would like to serve on the FirstNet Board.  Four of the 12 appointments of non-permanent members to the FirstNet Board are expiring in August 2014.  NTIA issues this Notice to obtain expressions of interest in the event the Secretary must fill any vacancies arising on the Board.  Expressions of interest will be accepted until May 23, 2014. 

FirstNet publishes this notice of its final procedures for implementing the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). These procedures become effective April 29, 2014.

FirstNet publishes this notice of its categorical exclusions (CEs) of actions that FirstNet has determined do not individually or cumulatively have a significant effect on the human environment and, thus, should be categorically excluded from the requirement to prepare an environmental assessment or environmental impact statement under
the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). These categorical exclusions
become effective on April 29, 2014.

The Department of Commerce’s Internet Policy Task Force plans to hold four roundtables on certain copyright topics in cities across the United States in May, June, and July 2014. Topics are the legal framework for the creation of remixes, the relevance and scope of the first sale doctrine in the digital environment, and the appropriate calibration of statutory damages in the contexts of individual file sharers and of secondary liability for large-scale infringement.

This notice announces a public meeting of the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee. The Committee provides advice to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information on spectrum management policy matters. The meeting will be held on March 28, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time. The meeting will be held at the U.S. Department of Commerce, 1401 Constitution Avenue NW., Room 4830, Washington, DC 20230. Please see the attachment below for further information.
