NTIA Petition for Rulemaking to Clarify Provisions of Section 230 of the Communications Act

Pursuant to section 1.401 of the Code of Federal Regulations, in accordance with Executive Order 13925 (E.O. 13925), and through the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), the Secretary of Commerce (Secretary) respectfully requests that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission) initiate a rulemaking to clarify the provisions of section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended.

Notice of Establishment of the Communications Supply Chain Risk Information Partnership

NTIA announces the establishment of the Communications Supply Chain Risk Information Partnership (C-SCRIP) in support of the requirements of Section 8 of the Secure and Trusted Communications Network Act of 2019 (Act). The Act directs NTIA, in cooperation with other designated federal agencies, to establish a program to share supply chain security risk information with trusted providers of advanced communications service and suppliers of communications equipment or services.
