Privacy, Equity, and Civil Rights Request for Comment
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) requests comments addressing issues at the intersection of privacy, equity, and civil rights. The comments, along with information gathered through the three listening sessions that NTIA held on this topic, will inform a report on whether and how commercial data practices can lead to disparate impacts and outcomes for marginalized or disadvantaged communities.

Notice of Corrected Date for July CSMAC Meeting
NTIA published a document in the Federal Register of June 21, 2022, announcing a public meeting of the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (CSMAC). This document contained the incorrect date for the meeting. The meeting will be held July 15, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
Request for Comments on Competition in the Mobile App Ecosystem
NTIA is requesting comments on competition in the mobile application ecosystem. The data gathered through this process will be used to inform the Biden-Harris Administration’s competition agenda, including, but not limited to, the Department of Commerce’s work developing a report to submit to the Chair of the White House Competition Council regarding the mobile application ecosystem.
Recruitment of First Responder Network (FirstNet) Authority Board Member
NTIA issues this Notice to initiate the annual process to seek expressions of interest from individuals who would like to serve on the Board of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority Board or Board). The term of one of the 12 non-permanent members to the FirstNet Authority Board will be available for appointment or reappointment in 2022.
To be considered for the calendar year 2022 appointment, expressions of interest must be electronically transmitted on or before March 14, 2022.
Notice of NTIA IIJA Broadband Grant Program Webinars
NTIA will host a pre-Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) technical assistance webinar series in March–May 2022 in connection with the five new broadband grant programs authorized and funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA): The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program; the Enabling Middle Mile Broadband Infrastructure Program; and the Digital Equity Act Programs, which include the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program, State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program, and Digital Equity Competitive Grant Program.
Federal Register Notice: Release of New Edition of the NTIA Manual
NTIA is making certain changes to its regulations relating to the public availability of the Manual of Regulations and Procedures for Federal Radio Frequency Management (NTIA Manual). Specifically, NTIA is releasing a new edition of the NTIA Manual, with which Federal agencies must comply when requesting use of radio frequency spectrum.
