Call for Applications to Serve on Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee
NTIA is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Department of Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (CSMAC) for two-year terms. The CSMAC provides advice to the Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information and NTIA Administrator on spectrum policy matters. Draft Report to the President on Enhancing the Resilience of the Internet and Communications Ecosystem Against Botnets and Other Automated, Distributed Threats
This draft report responds to the May 11, 2017, Executive Order on Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure. That order called for “resilience against botnets and other automated, distributed threats,” directing the Departments of Commerce and Homeland Security to “lead an open and transparent process to identify and promote action by appropriate stakeholders” with the goal of “dramatically reducing threats perpetrated by automated and distributed attacks (e.g., botnets).”

NTIA, as the President’s principal adviser on telecommunications and information service policy, and as one of the leading Federal agencies in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data relevant to broadband availability and adoption, respectfully comments on this Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
