This notice announces a public meeting of the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee. CSMAC provides advice to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information on spectrum management policy matters. Notification to Congress Pursuant to 47 U.S.C. § 923(j)(2) Regarding the 1695-1710 MHz and 1755-1780 MHz (AWS-3) Spectrum Bands
On June 4, 2014, NTIA sent a letter to the Chairman and Ranking Members of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce notifying Congress of NTIA's determination that relocation of certain federal entities from the 1695-1710 MHz and 1755-1780 MHz spectrum bands is not feasible because of technical or cost constraints. The notifications were among the requirements of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012.
Fourth Interim Progress Report on the Ten-Year Plan and Timetable
NTIA releases this Progress Report pursuant to the Presidential Memorandum issued on June 28, 2010, which directed the Department of Commerce, working through NTIA and in collaboration with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), to identify and make available 500 megahertz of spectrum over the next ten years for expanded wireless broadband use. This report includes the plan for federal agencies to provide quantitative assessments of their usage of spectrum in selected frequency bands in accordance with the Presidential Memorandum issued on June 14, 2013.
Request for Comments on Big Data and Consumer Privacy in the Internet Economy
NTIA is requesting comment on “big data” developments and how they impact the Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights. NTIA and the Department of Commerce invite public comment on these issues from all stakeholders, including the commercial, academic, and public interest sectors, legislators, and from governmental consumer protection and enforcement agencies.
Comments are due on or before 5 p.m. Eastern Time on August 5, 2014.

On June 2, 2014 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time there will be sequential meetings of FirstNet’s four Board Committees: (1) Governance and Personnel; (2) Outreach; (3) Technology; and (4) Finance. The full FirstNet Board will hold a meeting on June 3, 2014, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time. Board members will meet in Ballroom 4 of the Westin Westminster Hotel, 10600 Westminster Boulevard, Westminster, CO 80020.

Notice of Estimated Relocation or Sharing Costs and Timelines for the 1695-1710 MHz and 1755-1780 MHz Bands
On May 13, 2014, NTIA sent a letter to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), on behalf of eligible federal agencies, providing notification of the initial estimated relocation and sharing costs and the estimated timelines for the 1695-1710 MHz and the 1755-1780 MHz spectrum bands. The total estimated relocation and sharing costs for the 1695-1710 MHz band are approximately $527.1 Million. The total estimated relocation or sharing costs for the 1755-1780 MHz band are approximately $4.576 Billion.
Notice of Recruitment of FirstNet Board Members
NTIA issues this Notice on behalf of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) as part of the annual process to seek expressions of interest from individuals who would like to serve on the FirstNet Board. Four of the 12 appointments of non-permanent members to the FirstNet Board are expiring in August 2014. NTIA issues this Notice to obtain expressions of interest in the event the Secretary must fill any vacancies arising on the Board. Expressions of interest will be accepted until May 23, 2014.
