Revision to the Manual of Regulations and Procedures for Federal Radio Frequency Management (2016)

NTIA is making certain changes to its regulations relating to the public availability of the Manual of Regulations and Procedures for Federal Radio Frequency Management (NTIA Manual). Specifically, NTIA is releasing an update to the current edition of the NTIA Manual, with which federal agencies must comply when requesting use of radio frequency spectrum. NTIA is also making changes to the regulatory text to comply with the Incorporation by Reference formatting structure. This regulation is effective on June 1, 2016.

The next meeting of the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee will be on June 8, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time. The meeting will be held at Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP, 1800 M Street NW., Suite 800N, Washington, DC 20036. CSMAC provides advice to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information on spectrum management policy matters.

NTIA seeks input from stakeholders and interested parties to help develop its proposals and positions regarding matters that will be addressed at the upcoming 2016 World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA-2016) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), being held from October 25 to November 3, 2016. The results of this Notice and Request for Public Comment will be reflected in NTIA's recommendations for U.S. proposals and positions to the U.S. Department of State, which is coordinating the WTSA-2016 preparatory process.
