SUMMARY:
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is seeking applications to serve on the Department of Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (“CSMAC” or “committee”) for a two-year term. The CSMAC provides advice to the Assistant
Secretary for Communications and Information and NTIA Administrator on spectrum policy matters.
DATES:
Applications must be postmarked or electronically transmitted on or before January 31, 2024.

The Committee provides advice to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) on spectrum management policy matters.

In reply comments in response to the FCC’s Notice of Inquiry (NOI) on the spectrum access needs of ISAM operations, NTIA reiterates that it is working with federal agencies to identify opportunities for both commercial industry and federal agencies to benefit from ISAM services. The reply comments provide additional perspective on the path forward for meeting the current and future spectrum needs of this emerging industry as stable and predictable spectrum access will be critical to the development of these new space-based services.
