North Dakota

State of North Dakota – Information Technology Department

North Dakota will use its Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The State plans to update their Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan as part of SLIGP, and will use the SIEC, Department of Emergency Services Advisory Committee, county 911 coordinators, regional emergency management/preparedness committees, and public safety associations, including the North Dakota Firefighters Association, as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  North Dakota plans to leverage existing emergency managers from each of its four federally recognized tribes as well as representative organizations such as the Indian Health Service and North Dakota Indian Affairs Commission to engage tribal communities in public safety broadband planning efforts.
