Maine

State of Maine

Maine will use its Maine Interoperable Communications Committee (MICC) to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The State plans to update its Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan as part of SLIGP, and will use MICC representatives, the yet-to-be-named Tribal representative, the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), and the Maine Office of Information Technology as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  Tribal partners are regularly invited to all public outreach events, workshops, trainings, and exercises conducted by MEMA, and Maine intends to invite representatives from its four federally recognized tribes to participate in all public safety broadband network planning activities and consultations.
