Michigan State Police – State 911 Administrative Section

Michigan will use its new Statewide Interoperable Governance Body (SIGB), the Emergency Communications Commission (ECC), to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The State plans to update its Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan as part of SLIGP, and will use an expanded Public Safety Broadband Network Committee and Michigan’s seven existing emergency management regions as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  Michigan plans to leverage its existing relationships with tribal public safety representatives to engage its 12 federally recognized tribes in public safety broadband planning efforts.
