Nebraska

Nebraska Department of Administrative Services

Nebraska will use its existing Nebraska Public Safety Communications Council (NPSCC) and the soon-to-be established NPSCC Public Safety Broadband Working Group to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The State intends to update its Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan as part of the process, and plans to utilize the NPSCC, Nebraska League of Municipalities, Nebraska Association of County Officials, and the Nebraska Information technology Commission as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  Nebraska has previously coordinated with the Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs to involve tribes in planning for the statewide land mobile radio system, and will continue to engage its four federally funded tribes in its ongoing public safety broadband planning efforts.
