Oregon

Oregon Department of Transportation

Oregon will use its existing Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP). The State plans to continue the development of a Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan broadband companion document. The State plans to utilize the existing Oregon Broadband Advisory Council (OBAC) and Oregon Public Safety Broadband Office as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  Oregon has successfully built shared communications sites that have benefitted tribes, and intends to leverage existing tribal participation on the SIEC and OBAC to organize a regional meeting for engaging its nine federally recognized tribes in ongoing public safety broadband planning efforts.
