Montana

State of Montana – Department of Administration

Montana will reestablish its Statewide Interoperability Governing Board (SIGB) and the SIGB’s Public Safety Broadband Working Group to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The State plans to use the SIGB, its working groups, and a proposed regional structure as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  Montana will use its Statewide Interoperability Coordinator through the Governor’s Office of Indian Affairs to engage its seven federally recognized tribes in public safety broadband planning efforts.
