Washington State Military Department

Washington will use its Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) and the soon-to-be established SIEC stakeholder subcommittee to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The State plans to update its Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan as part of SLIGP, and will use the SIEC, its nine homeland security regions, the State Broadband Office’s Local Technology Planning Team, and professional organizations, including the Washington State Association of Counties and the Washington Association of County Officials, as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  Washington plans to leverage the Northwest Tribal Emergency Management Council to engage its 29 federally recognized tribes in public safety broadband planning efforts.
