Oklahoma

State of Oklahoma

Oklahoma will use its Chief Information Officer’s office and the recently established Public Safety Broadband Network (PSBN) Technical Steering Committee to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The State plans to use the Oklahoma Association of Regional Councils, 11 existing regional councils, and eight existing Oklahoma homeland security regions as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  Oklahoma’s Native American Technology Council (ONATC) has a seat on the PSBN and represents Native American tribal governments in technology efforts.  ONATC will be used to engage the State’s 38 federally recognized tribes in public safety broadband planning efforts.
